I can't believe it's here - our first compilation tape. Since the inception of flowsfordays I've wanted to put out a project like this. I wanted to develop relationships with artists first, and then establish a deep connection and friendship.

Riptide Vol. 1 is a very personal project to me. Each artist featured has made an impact on my life in some way. Many of these guys are from my city of Chicago, but a number of them live across the country. They've been supportive of the blog, often from the start, and I adore their music.

I want to thank EVERYONE involved with the tape, starting with the very talented artist Wablo Picasso who worked with me extensively on the cover and back art. We will be putting out more volumes of this series, so look out for that announcement in the coming months.
